Tour of reserve offered April 30

FALLBROOK — The Santa Margarita Ecological Reserve (SMER), located between Temecula and Fallbrook, will be holding a docent-led educational tour on Saturday, April 30. This tour begins at the north gate of SMER (reached from Rancho California Road in Temecula) and descends into Temecula Gorge. This is a 1.7-mile roundtrip hike with 440 feet of elevation gain and loss. Join us to view the beautiful natural habitat and learn about some of the cutting-edge research that is occurring in this protected outdoor laboratory.
