Volunteer joins tree care effort

FALLBROOK – Caroline Young, a National Charity League Ticktocker is doing what Ticktockers do – volunteer. Young’s choice of giving time to the community is volunteering as a tree steward for Save Our Forest.

Young, a softball player at Great Oak High School, found that volunteering with Save Our Forest allows her to choose volunteer time that is flexible and won’t interfere with her softball games or practices.

Save Our Forest, a branch of the Fallbrook Land Conservancy, has planted thousands of trees in the greater Fallbrook area. Some need a caretaker to keep them healthy and providing energy-saving shade, while enhancing the community to make for a pedestrian-friendly town.

Others interested in helping this worthy project may call Jackie Heyneman, Save Our Forest, at (760) 728-5395.
