Volunteers make Fallbrook clean and green

FALLBROOK — Volunteers fanned out across Fallbrook on Saturday, September 24, to pick up unsightly debris left on streets and roads throughout the community as part of the Fourth Annual Community Clean-Up Day sponsored by Keep Fallbrook Clean and Green.

Numerous businesses and local organizations provided trucks, tow trucks, various types of equipment and volunteers. The major businesses participating were: Fallbrook Refuse Service, Fallbrook Equipment Rental, Costello’s Auto Repair and 1-800-GOT-JUNK? The success of the cleanup event was largely due to the generosity of these businesses that provided both equipment and manpower for the day.

Other businesses and service organizations providing food and volunteers included: Coldwell Banker Landmark Group, El Tigre Market, Albertsons market, Fallbrook Rotary, Village Rotary and the Encore Club.

All volunteers were treated to pizza and sodas compliments of Village Rotary at Beech Street Park following the event.
