19-year-old arrested in Rainbow for allegedly hosting a party where a fight broke out that involved 50 people

RAINBOW - A 19-year-old man was arrested early today for allegedly hosting a party while his parents were away at which a fight broke out that involved at least 50 people.

Deputies were dispatched to the melee and to investigate reports of marijuana use and underage drinking at a residence at 47520 Rainbow Glen Road, according to sheriff's Sgt Victor Perry.

Arriving deputies found several minors who appeared severely intoxicated and called paramedics, who evaluated the drunken or drugged teenagers before they were released to their parents, the sergeant said.

The son of the homeowner, Severo Perez, was arrested on suspicion he violated the county's social host ordinance and for allegedly contributing to the delinquency of minors, Perry said.
