Book Talk scheduled for Feb. 10

“The Secret Life of Bees” by Sue Monk Kidd will be the subject of discussion at the February 10 session of Book Talk. Discussion leader will be Jennifer Jeffries, assistant professor of education, Cal State San Marcos; former superintendent of the Fallbrook Union Elementary School District; and current president of Friends of the Fallbrook Library.

Book Talk, sponsored by the Friends of the Fallbrook Library, is open to anyone who enjoys reading and would like the opportunity to participate in discussions in an informal setting. No reservations are required and participants do not need to be members of the Friends or attend all of the sessions. The group meets the second Thursday of the month from September to June (except December) at 1:30 p.m. at the FPUD facility, 990 E. Mission.

Future featured books and authors will be “A Good Year” by Peter Mayle, “The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time” by Mark Haddon and the works of John Steinbeck and Anne Perry. If you have book suggestions or would like to volunteer to lead a discussion, please contact Gloria Mattson, Book Talk coordinator, at (760) 723-2403 or Jerri Patchett at (760) 723-8635.
