THIS is what Fallbrooks needs more of! This is the spirit! THIS is how you instill sensitivity, respect, kindness, love and peace in our children: through the arts. THIS is how you prevent a potential criminal 20 years down the road from committing his/her crime. THIS is how you build a, yes, good society: through the arts. With the MISERABLE decline in the funding of the arts in our public schools — a national disgrace! — these programs are as important as ever. Again, I cannot thank all the organizers enough for this event! Parents, PLEASE expose your children to the arts!!!!! Reply Lee May 1, 2014 at 2:54 pm When a little child paints a tree, or a mountain, or the sun, or a butterfly, he/she may very well NOT cut down and log a tree 20 years from now, but instead may say that the tree is beautiful and to be respected. And you have a person who respects Mother Nature. When a little child paints a tree, a mountain, a horse, or the ocean, he/she may not dig up several acres looking for a few silly ounces of gold 20 years down the road. And you have a person who respects Mother Nature. When a little child paints Mommy, Daddy and Junior standing in front of their home next to a tree with the sun shining up above, he/she may very well not want to harm another person in ANY way, shape or form 20 years down the road. And you have a pacifist. When a little child paints holding hands with all his/her friends in front of his/her school, he/she may very well respect people from all over the world not wishing them any harm throughout his/her entire life. And you have a pacifist. Art is the expression of one human being to another, "I love you." Reply Leave a Reply Cancel Reply Your email address will not be published.
