Deputies make four arrests as result of follow-up on individuals charged in Operation Cruel Summer

Fallbrook Sheriff's Substation Commander Lt. Todd Richardson has reported that deputies made four arrests this morning at a location in the 100 block of Morro Hills Road, the site of a major bust during the agency's recent Operation Cruel Summer that netted a total of 49 arrests relating to drugs and weapons trafficking here.

"Our officers were doing follow-up work and had heard from some citizens that some of the suspects may have returned to a home on Morro Hills Road that was one of the primary arrest locations during Operation Cruel Summer," explained Richardson. "They made four arrests today while conducting a probation search."

Richardson said the individuals were charged with various crimes, including possession of a deadly weapon, possession of marijuana, possession of ketamine, and possession of narcotic "mushrooms."

In an unrelated matter, the Sheriff's ASTREA helicopter was up over Fallbrook Street earlier this morning relating to an arrest deputies were making on a person with an outstanding felony warrant.

"The arrest was made and everything went smoothly," said Richardson.
