'Dinner with the Docs' fundraiser held Nov. 3

FALLBROOK – A sold-out crowd filled the clubhouse at Vista Valley Country Club on Saturday evening, Nov. 3 as 180 guests attended the seventh annual ‘Dinner with the Docs’ gala and fundraiser hosted by the Foundation for Senior Care.

Festivities began with cocktails and hors d’ oeuvres, giving guests the opportunity to mingle with 20 of Fallbrook’s finest physicians and bid on the foundation’s featured silent auction items, many of which were graciously donated by local merchants in the community.

Master of Ceremonies Bill Metcalf hosted a seamless program as he thanked Physician’s Partner Sponsor, Graybill Medical Group, Inc., for inviting all 20 physicians to attend the fundraiser, followed by the introduction of the event’s Platinum Sponsor, Silvergate Retirement Residences.

One of the highlights in the event’s program included the presentation of an award honoring Dr. Daniel A. Manring, in recognition of his dedication as a physician in providing the community of Fallbrook with medical care for more than

45 years.

Guests enjoyed a delicious three-course dinner prepared by Vista Valley Country Club’s executive chef and relished an evening of music performed during the dinner hour by professional pianist Natasha Ragland.

“The Foundation for Senior Care’s seventh annual ‘Dinner with the Docs’ was a wonderful success, raising much needed funds for the foundation’s four core programs – the Care Van, Senior Care Advocacy, Senior-Adult Day Care Center and Senior Care Computer Learning Center,” said foundation executive director Dotty Metcalf.
