Fallbrook man drowns in desert hot tub

FALLBROOK (wire service) - The death of an 89-year-old man from Fallbrook, who was found drowned in a community hot tub at a Coachella Valley resort, remained under investigation today.

Edward Fredericks was found dead in a community hot tub next to the Desert Princess Resort and Country Club golf course in the 29000 block of West Laguna Drive in Cathedral City.

Fredericks was found dead at 4:24 p.m. Friday, the Riverside County Coroner's office said.

Cathedral City police and the coroner said they were not sure yet how he died.

CATHEDRAL CITY - The cause of death for an 89-year-old man, who was found dead in a community hot tub, remained under investigation today.

Fallbrook resident Edward Fredericks, a resident of Fallbrook in northern San Diego County, was found dead Friday in a community hot tub next to the Desert Princess Resort and Country Club golf course in the 29000 block of West Laguna Drive.

Fredericks was found dead at 4:24 p.m. Friday, the Riverside County Coroner's office said.

Cathedral City police and the coroner said they were not sure yet how he died.
