Fire destroys mobile home in Fallbrook

North County Fire has confirmed emergency workers responded to a fire on Saturday evening, January 25 in a mobile home park at 1455 Alturas Road in Fallbrook.

“The fire burned about 75 percent of a mobile home and our firefighters did a great job protecting the surrounding ones from catching fire,” said John Buchanan, public information officer for North County Fire.

Buchanan said firefighters responded to the blaze about 7:30 p.m. that night and that one person was transported to Fallbrook Hospital for medical evaluation as a result.

“The fire remains under investigation and the residents of the mobile home have been displaced as a result,” he said.

Buchanan said keeping a fire in a mobile home community contained is a challenge.

“The reason is because mobile homes are made of lighter-weight material and are very susceptible to fire,” he said.

Wonder if the fire dept. first checked whether or not the homeowners had been good boys and girls . . . and had paid their fifty bucks.

    Show me the money, baby!

Excellent Job fire fighters- like Lee I have no idea how to fight a fire in an area like that – I would think it toke skill and training to keep it from spreading. Do not understand Lee’s comment concerning "good" or money.

If your comment about the fifty bucks is regarding the California state fire fee, then you should know that the North County Fire Protection District, who extinguished the mobile home fire, does not receive a single penny from that fee.

Don’t confuse Lee with facts Connor, he is so happy in his make believe world. The $50 fee is confiscated by state controlled land Lee. Cal Fire receives those funds NOT NCFPD.

Guess Lee’s just trying to make another joke about how much it cost to live in CA……Get over it son……it cost money to live here or anywhere else… to to play Lee……..The sad truth is that we have a family who lost their home on Sat. Be nice if we all could pitch in $50 to go towards some of their living expenses that they will occur over the next few weeks…..
