Inaugural Fallbrook Hold 'em or Fold 'em tournament to benefit Foundation for Senior Care

FALLBROOK – Regency Fallbrook assisted living facility will host the inaugural Fallbrook Hold ‘em or Fold ‘em tournament and fundraiser to benefit the Foundation for Senior Care on Friday, Jan. 25. Event registration begins at the ‘Regency Saloon,’ located at 609 E. Elder St. at 6:30 p.m., with shuffle and deal starting promptly at 7 p.m.

Morgan Cadmus, executive director of Regency, and Dotty Metcalf, executive director of the Foundation for Senior Care, have joined forces to bring an exciting, fun evening of Texas Hold ‘em Poker to the community.

“What a wonderful opportunity for everyone to come out for a great evening of poker and fun, and at the same time support a worthy cause,” said Metcalf. “We are delighted and so grateful to the folks at Regency for stepping up with this terrific idea for a fundraiser on our behalf!”

Buy-in is $45 for this professional tournament; cost of the buy-in includes $2,500 in chip value, gourmet appetizers prepared by Regency’s executive chef Steve Phillips, beer and wine.

Top notch prizes will be awarded to the first through 20th place finishers. Prizes include a one week stay at the tournament winner’s choice – Lake Tahoe, Las Vegas, or Palm Spring resorts. Other prizes include one night stay at Pala Mesa Resort, lunch for four at the Veranda Restaurant at the Grand Tradition, dinner for four at The Vines Restaurant at Regency Fallbrook, golf packages, winery tours, and many gift card giveaways from local businesses

Attendees must be 21 years of age or older; dress for the event is cocktail attire. Reservations are a must and will be taken until Jan. 24. All proceeds benefit the Foundation for Senior Care (a non-profit organization) and its four programs – the Care Vans, Senior Care Advocacy, Senior/Adult Day Center, and the Senior Care Computer Learning Center.
