FALLBROOK - Motorists traveling in the 800 block of South Main Avenue early yesterday afternoon, Sunday, August 10, saw a geyser of water shooting into the air.
According to Fallbrook Public Utility District operations manager David Horn, standby personnel responded to the situation after receiving a report that a vehicle hit the fire hydrant in front of O’Reilly Auto Parts, 812 S. Main.
According to Horn, the hydrant is currently leaking at 5 gallons per minute and is scheduled for repair later today (Monday, August 11). Due to this incident, work scheduling had to be adjusted.
