Nurses union announces protest in Fallbrook

FALLBROOK – The California Nurses Association/National Nurses United (CNA/NNU) has announced a 30-minute candlelight vigil protest will be conducted tonight, Thurs., January 30, at 5 p.m., at Fallbrook Hospital. The event is designed to bring awareness to what they feel was an “unjust firing” of a nurse involved in the union’s effort to forge a contract with Community Health Systems (CHS), who operates the hospital.

A vigil is also being held at CHS’ Watsonville Community Hospital regarding a nurse at that facility that they feel was unfairly terminated for the same reason.
