Pala donates $80,000 to BUSD for counseling, psychological services

BONSALL – At the Bonsall Union School District board meeting on Nov. 14, the governing board and superintendent, Dr. Justin Cunningham, received an $80,000 donation from Chairman Robert Smith on behalf of the Pala Band of Mission Indians.

The donation was made to provide increased counseling and psychological services for Bonsall and Pala students.

“This is yet another example of the wisdom and generosity shown by the Pala Band of Mission Indians to the school community of the Bonsall Union School District,” said Cunningham. “This thoughtful donation shows why our strategic plan has the Tribe as a strength we can count on to provide academic excellence and support for all students.”
