Sidewalk project to begin this month on Aviation Rd. between Alturas Rd. and Wisconsin Ave.

According to Steve Ron, project manager for the County of San Diego Dept. of Public Works, construction will begin shortly to create sidewalks on the north side of Aviation Road between Alturas Road and Wisconsin Avenue.

"The construction project will start in February and is estimated to be completed in three months," said Ron.

Ron said the project will include: curbing, gutter, sidewalk and drainage improvements as well as driveway reconnections.

Traffic impact may be experienced, but Ron said, "During construction residences and businesses will remain accessible. Pedestrians will be directed through or around the construction area. Parking may be prohibited on the north side of Aviation Road at times."

Ron said the project is designed to provide capital improvements that enhance the quality of life in Fallbrook.

"We hope to do this efficiently with as little disruption as possible," he said. "We look forward to a successful project."
