According to the CHP, at 8:03 this morning, April 26, a semi loaded with avocados was cut off by a vehicle on East Mission at Olive Street. The driver of the truck had to slam on the brakes which caused avocados to “fall all over the place”.
A witness said that the vehicle involved was an older model gray Nissan Sentra. The truck did not hit anything but the sudden stop caused some of its boxes to tip over and lose their contents.
Passing cars ran over the spilled avocados and a boom truck was sent for to put the boxes upright. The road was cleared by 9:45 a.m.
