FALLBROOK – Judging from the entries received at the Chamber office so far, the 32nd annual Fallbrook Christmas Parade is on pace for a varied entry field, as organizers and volunteers prepare for “Christmas in the Village” on Saturday, Dec. 7.
Look for a large line-up consisting of marching bands, decorated floats, colorful characters (including a return visit by Snoopy from Knotts Berry Farm), fire trucks and, of course, Santa Claus.
Those wanting to participate should fill out their entry application soon at the Chamber office in order to participate in this fun-filled, entertaining event, as the deadline is fast approaching – Nov. 15. Entry forms can be filled out and the $20 entry fee paid in person at the Chamber office, 111 S. Main – or download the application from the Chamber website, www.fallbrookchamberofcommerce.org.
The Chamber is now looking for sponsors for this traditional community event. Many services and supplies must be purchased and rented so the evening is enjoyable for spectators, entrants and volunteers. Neighboring communities have struggled with the annual costs of these wonderful events that everyone loves to attend, so the Chamber is grateful for those businesses and individuals who have stepped up with their pledges for donations so far. Sponsors are a treasured asset to the biggest nighttime parade in San Diego County! Pledge levels begin at just $50. Each and every sponsor check is greatly appreciated.
To learn more about being a sponsor, call the Chamber at (760) 728-5845, or visit the Christmas Parade page on the Fallbrook Chamber of Commerce website for a sponsorship form.
The Chamber also encourages residents to enjoy parade day – Dec. 7 – by browsing the downtown shops before the parade begins. Many will be open and welcoming visitors to shop. It’s a great way to kick off the Christmas season in the Fallbrook community. Don’t miss it!
