St. John's Thrift donates $3,000 to two groups

FALLBROOK - In keeping with its goal of donating to worthy local Fallbrook charities, St. John’s Episcopal Thrift Shop recently donated $3,000 to two fine local groups. The Fallbrook Food Pantry and the Foundation for Senior Care were presented with the funds.

“At this time of the year, our local charities see the demand for the goods and services they provide stretched to the max,” said Ed Cyran, board member and volunteer of St. John’s Episcopal Thrift Shop.

“The Fallbrook Food Pantry has served our local low income and disadvantaged families since 1991 with food to help nourish their families,” said Cyran. The pantry seeks financial contributions and non-perishable food donations year-round.

“The Foundation for Senior Care operates three programs in Fallbrook - Senior Care Advocacy, Care Van, and the Senior/Adult Day Care Center,” explained Cyran. “The Foundation for Senior Care is a recognized leader in providing service, resources, and information to seniors and the disabled here in Fallbrook.”

St. John’s Episcopal Church Thrift Shop has been working in and for the people of Fallbrook since 1957. The shop is located at 1075 South Mission Road, Suite G. Donations of clothing and household items are eagerly accepted anytime during store hours. Call (760) 723-9520 for more information.
