Lord Jesus, please bring peace and comfort to all 8 men’s families that this battalion has lost in the last 2 weeks. Help the men of 3/5 to stay focused and determined to complete their mission as safely as possible.

You’re missing the name of LCpl Alec E. Catherwood, 19. He was also killed on Thursday – just announced on DOD website.

Father we come to you asking that you wrap your hands of love and protection around the 3/5 Marines and their families. We ask this in your loving name. Amen

I think the church bells of Fallbrook should ring when a member of the 3/5 is a casualty.

The war is not a daily thought for most Americans, even here in Fallbrook. This would be an appropriate response to the news of another Marine dying so far away.

Would the churches of Fallbrook be willing to do this?

LCPL Ceniseros was a family friend and was on deployment with my husband in Afghanistan. He will be missed greatly, and from my understanding he had displayed some very heroic actions prior to his death. This brave young man will be remembered in our hearts always.
We are also mourning the loss of LCPL Sparks, who was killed in action on October 8, 2010. Sparks was also a family friend who was one of the kindest mannered Marines I have ever known. He was my husbands dearest friend and we will miss him greatly.
Our condolences to both of these brave young mens families and all the other families of 3/5 Marines who have lost their lives this past week.

Father God, please cover the remaining 3/5 in the area. They have a noble mission to accomplish. Please double your protection upon them. I cant imagine my feelings when we recieved the phonecall that my son, a 3/5 corpsman was critically injured in that same engagement, how much more for parents who lost their son.

Dear God: I pray for all those fallen comrades of 3/5 Marines. They are our heroes and we commend them to your Hands. I pray also for their families who have waited patiently and now are suffering in their loss. Please keep our brave soldiers safe in Your protection and care.
Bless all their comrades who are still fighting for our country, risking their lives for the safety of the people of America and the whole world.

God, be with our men in this fight, bring swift justice to our enemies and peace and rest to our allies. Be with the 3/5 and end this battle today. We remember you are WORTHY to be praised during good times and bad. While our losses are high your grace is sufficient. Be with the families and friends of the corp and bring our boys home soon. God’s grace and speed Marines!

My son is part of the 3/5 Darkhorse. I am so saddened by the losses of these wonderful men. I pray for God’s grace and mercy to cover the families in this time of grieving. I hope that America realizes what has happened and appreciates the sacrifices these men have made to protect each and every one of us. I also hope that those who are in command see that help is needed in this area and that they do not hold back aid. Please send assistance to these men, this is a large loss of precious life.

For all of those troops, I pray for each and everyone of the men deployed and those to yet be deployed. I pray for the protection of each of these men, may God wrap his hands around them and guide each and every step they take. May he give them wisdom to out think and out smart the enemy. May every plan and all stratagy be God inspired so that nothing that is done to them and around them comes as a surprise, may all plans of the enemy be revealed. God, where there is weakness in the troops may you strengthen them with both natural and super natural strength. Lord, we ask you, heavenly Father, to give these men the grace to handle all that they see and hear and the peace that passes all understanding. Lord thank you for giving them all that your word says is available to them. We thank you for your goodness and mercy, Amen.

my Brother joseph was a marine in the 3/5…he was killed on october 14, 2010. He died protecting the very thing that we take for granted because we have never been without it, Freedom. I served in the Armed Forces for neary nine years, and was in combat for a total of 20 months in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom, but nothing is in comparison to what my Brother gave his life for. I support every Soldier, Airmen, Sailor and Marine who serves this Country proudly…Godspeed. To the Marines of the 3/5: Stay vigilant, strong and keep the faith. This Nation is behind you 100 percent. Hold the line and remember that my brother will always be with you…as will we. The last month has been the worst and best of my life, my brother was taken from us…but my faith in Humanity was restored. I will always love my little brother, as well as all of the other Marines in the 3/5 that have been taken. If i can say one thing to the parents of these fallen Marines, its this…your son has given his life for his Country, and to me there is absolutely no higher Honor. There is a special place for them in the Kingdom of Heaven. lets pray for the Marines who are fighting right now as we speak. We will see you guys when you get back…Semper Fi Marines

This is so sad. God bless our troops, and wish everyone a safe return. I don’t have family in military. Just don’t keep up with everything going on in Afghanistan. Saw Restrepo on Nat Geo the other night. Blew my mind! We take a lot of these for granted. Thanks to all these wonderful soldiers that protect our freedom.
