The San Diego County Sheriff's Dept., Fallbrook substation has reported a large marijuana grow was busted this afternoon in Rainbow and three individuals have been arrested in connection with it.

According to Sheriff's Sgt. Patrick Yates, at approximately 2 p.m. today, Tues., Sept. 3, "Members of the Sheriff's Fallbrook Substation Crime Suppression Team developed information that led them to suspect a large marijuana grow in the 2200 block of Rainbow Valley Blvd., in Rainbow. Based on the information they gathered, a search warrant was issued for the property."

Yates said the area that was searched included several greenhouses in the area surrounded by other greenhouses and plant nurseries.

"A total of 3,379 marijuana plants with a potential yield of over $7,000,000 in street value were found and seized," said Yates.

The Narcotics Task Force assisted with the search and seizure of the marijuana plants.

Three suspects were arrested in connection with the grow. They had left the property just prior to the search warrant being served.

Yates described the suspects as "two Asian male adults and a white male adult" and they were observed tending to the grow.

Yates said all three suspects have been charged with cultivating marijuana (11358 Health and Safety Code). Their identities have not been released at this time.
