SAN BERNARDINO COUNTY MOUNTAINS-RIVERSIDE COUNTY MOUNTAINS-SAN DIEGO COUNTY MOUNTAINS-APPLE AND LUCERNE VALLEYS-COACHELLA VALLEY-SAN DIEGO COUNTY DESERTS-The National Weather Service has issued a Flash Flood Watch for the mountains and deserts of southwestern California from 11 am this morning through 11 pm this evening.
Deep subtropical moisture over Southern California will bring another round of afternoon and evening thunderstorms over the mountains and deserts. Heavy rainfall and flash flooding or debris flows are possible with the strongest cells.
A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead to flash flooding. Flash flooding is a very dangerous situation. According to the NWS, you should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action should flash flood warnings be issued.
