VFW Ladies Auxiliary supports Fallbrook Animal Sanctuary

Dana McCarthy, junior vice president of the Ladies Auxiliary VFW Post 1924, recently presented a check for $1,000 to Janet LuCore, director of the Fallbrook Animal Sanctuary (FAS) to help fund new dog kennels being built.

FAS is currently in need of monetary donations to become compliant with the American Disabilities Act (ADA) and kennel regulations. Specifically, they need to raise $3,500 for concrete slabs.

Many military families are forced to give up their pets when deployed and animals are funneled into the FAS since they are a no-kill facility.
