Adrienne Hess

Adrienne Hess passed away February 23, 2014 at the Silvergate Memory Care residence in Fallbrook, Calif. A service celebrating her life and faith in Christ was held at the home of her daughter, Jackie Brooks.

Adrienne Luella Buchlinger was born July 27, 1919 in Norborne, Mo. to Joseph F. and Cora Buchlinger. In 1937, she married Albert Allen Hess in Lexington, Mo.

They were married for 66 years before Albert passed away in 2003. She was preceded in death by her sister, Geneva Cox, and brothers Frederick A. Buchlinger and Donald Reed Buchlinger.

She was a member of London Heights Baptist Church in Kansas City, Kans. Her interests included family, gardening, fishing and reading. In 1988, she moved from the Kansas City area to Fallbrook to be with her daughter and family.

Adrienne is survived by her daughter Jackie; granddaughters Julie Thomas and Sherry Straeter; grandsons-in-law Pastor Derek Thomas and Pastor Tom Straeter; great-grandchildren Luke, Joel and Andrew Thomas, Tyler, Kyle and Brooke Straeter; niece Marlynn Landin and nephew Gary Buchlinger.

She will be greatly missed by her family.
