Charles A. "Jake" Jacobson, 83

Mr. Charles A. “Jake” Jacobson, 83, passed away on December 28, 2004. He was born on November 13, 1921, in Great Falls, MT. Mr. Jacobson was a resident of Fallbrook, CA, for 31 years.

Mr. Jacobson served in the US Air Force from 1942 to 1969, retiring as a Lieutenant Colonel. He was a bombadier/navigator and a POW during WWII. He graduated from the University of Oregon with a BA following WWII and worked as an FBI agent for three years until called to active duty in USAF during the Korean War, where he worked primarily in defense contracting until retirement in 1969. He then worked as a CPA in Fallbrook for 15 years. He was a member of the Masonic Order; Shriners; Elks Club; VFW Post 1924, Fallbrook; and American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

Mr. Jacobson is survived by his wife of 47 years, Elsie Jacobson, Fallbrook, CA; son Eric Jacobson, Temecula, CA; daughter & son-in-law Dani & Dan Lohrmon, Fallbrook, CA; and three grandchildren.

A graveside service with military honors will be held on Thursday, January 6, 2005, at 1 p.m. at the Riverside National Cemetery, Riverside, CA. Rev. David Plank will officiate. The family suggest memorial donations to the Office of Development, Shriners Hosptials for Children, 2900 Rocky Point Dr., Tampa, FL 33607-1460. Berry-Bell & Hall Fallbrook Mortuary handled the arrangements.
