Charles Dudley Warner, Jr. died from an aneurysm May 27, 2005, at Mercy Hospital in San Diego, CA. He was 86. He was born on September 20, 1918, in St. Paul, MN.
He married Harriet Marie Maxa and attended the University of Minnesota College. He ran Cresta Blanca (now Wente Bros.) Winery in Livermore, CA, for many years and was respected and loved by all of his employees.
His retirement years were spent in Incline Village, NV, and Coronado, CA.
He is survived by his sons Dudley Warner III of Livermore, CA, and Tib Warner of Pleasanton, CA; five grandchildren (Lisa Albright-Ratnavira, Gamini Ratnavira, Geoff & Debbie Warner, Scott Warner); and five great-grandchildren (Beau & Brook Albright, Natalie Ratnavira, Heather & Cody Warner).
He was preceded in death by his wife Harriet Marie Maxa and their daughter Sandy Warner. He will be laid to rest in peace with them at the Chapel of Chimes mausoleum in Oakland, CA.
