Christel Wied

Christel Wied was born December 23, 1935 in Plaue (near Berlin), Germany. She moved to Fallbrook 20 years ago with her husband of 58 years, Hugo, to be close to her only child, Bianca Pardue.

Christel was a member of the Fallbrook nine-holers. She was very outgoing, beautiful and enjoyed life with her many friends.

She was diagnosed with breast cancer 19 years ago requiring surgery and radiation treatment. She was in remission for 10 years before the cancer metastasized and required seven years of intense chemotherapy.

Defiant to cancer, Christel fought hard and lived life to her fullest. She passed away at home in her loving husband’s arms on August 8, 2016.

An informal memorial gathering will be announced to

family and friends at a later date.
