DuMonte O. (Monty) Voigt

DuMonte O. (Monty) Voigt of Fallbrook, born in Elmhurst, Ill., Nov. 13, 1932, passed away peacefully on July 24, 2013.

Monty was active in the Fallbrook community, served on the Fallbrook Planning Group and several of their committees, the Fallbrook Beautification Alliance, and wrote newsletters for the Sycamore Ranch homeowners as Sycamore Monty. He was also an active member in several car clubs.

There will be a celebration of his life on Saturday, Aug. 3, at 11 a.m. at SonRise Christian Fellowship Church, 463 S. Stage Coach Lane, Fallbrook.

Monty retired to Fallbrook in 1999, after a career in the electronics industry. He earned a B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering from Illinois Institute of Technology in 1960. He served in the U.S. Navy in aviation electronics from February 1952 to December 1955.

Monty is survived by his wife, Joan; son Eric (Linda); daughter Valerie; grandchildren Emily Voigt, Tyler Orr, (children of Eric), Mitchell Eimer, and Lucas Eimer, (children of Valerie); sister Dorothy and extended family.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to SonRise Christian Fellowship Church, the Fallbrook Beautification Alliance, or the charity of your choice.
