Icedore Iris (Bea) Burroughs, 99

Icedore Iris (Bea) Burroughs, 99, passed away on February 3, 2005. She was born on January 14, 1906, in Rosebury, OR. Mrs. Burroughs was a resident of Rancho Vista Retirement Community, Vista, CA.

Mrs. Burroughs was the daughter of Charles & Minnie Matthews. She graduated from Monmouth College, OR. She married John Harold Burroughs. They resided in the Panama Canal Zone for several years prior to and during WWII. She worked for the US Army and Pan American Airways and was an elementary school teacher. She also lived in Beirut, Lebanon, as well as Vancouver, Canada, prior to moving to Fallbrook in 1958. After retiring from the Vista School District she moved to Lake San Marcos, CA.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John Harold Burroughs, who died October 11, 1990. She is survived by her son John, Fallbrook, CA; three grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. No services are planned.
