Joan resided in Fallbrook from 1972. She was active in the Women’s Marine Association and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Ladies Auxiliary. Joan and her husband traveled extensively after his retirement to include Europe, Russia, Morocco, India, Malaysia, and Korea, as well as other Asian countries and the US.

Joan is survived by her husband; son Stan from Bellevue, Washington; daughter Susan from Fallbrook; and her brother Ron Ganje of Seattle, as well as her grandchildren Stan and Christina Rauh and Stacy and Wesley Switzer; and daughter-in-law Carolyn Rauh.
