John Arthur Pearson, 80

John Arthur Pearson, 80, of Fallbrook, CA, formerly of Mullen, NE, died March 9, 2005.

John was born into life on December 2, 1924, to Fritz and Myrtle Pearson. He married Norma Andrews on November 1, 1942. He served as a Sgt. in the United States Air Force during WWII. He worked on various ranches in the sandhills and while living in Mullen was an active community member as president of the school board, a volunteer fireman, a member of the Legion and member of the Elks. In the early ’70s he and Norma moved to California and started a successful earthmoving, construction and contracting business in partnership with son Larry.

He is survived by his wife of 62 years Norma; son Larry Pearson & wife Carol, Fallbrook, CA; daughters Carolyn LaBore & husband Bob, Sterling, CO, and Marilyn Pearson, Ft. Collins, CO; grandchildren Pam (Pearson) Nocon & husband Rory, Wasde Pearson & wife Michele, Tyler Pearson, Tanya (LaBore) Ramey & husband Trevor, and Justin LaBore; great-grandchildren Sidney & Devon Nocon, Sara Pearson and Ethan Ramey; brothers Bill Pearson & wife Norma, Hemet, CA, and Donald Pearson & wife Marjorie, Mullen, NE; sisters Mary Worrell & husband John, Sheridan, WY, Helen Dent & husband Vern, Mullen, NE, and Marlene Marshall & husband Dean, Mullen, NE; and many nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, and grand-nephews.

John Arthur Pearson, salt of the earth, will be greatly missed by his loving family and friends.

Following cremation, memorial services will be announced at a late date.
