Mr. Pascal J. "Pat" Shampay, 86

Mr. Pascal J. “Pat” Shampay, 86, passed away on Jan.12, 2005. Mr. Shampay was born on August 9, 1918, in Chicago, IL. He was a resident of Fallbrook, CA, for 23 years.

Mr. Shampay retired after working as a Fire Captain for the LA City Fire Department for 37 years. He served in the US Navy during WWII; was a member of the California State Fireman’s Assn., LA City Fire Dept., Retired Fireman’s Assn., and VFW Post 1924, Fallbrook; was a chapter member of Christ The King Lutheran Church, Fallbrook; was an avid reader and enjoyed carpentry.

Mr. Shampay was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Louise Shampay, in 1999. He is survived by his sons & daughter-in-law David P. & Leslie Shampay, Sylmar, CA, Peter J. Shampay, Quartz Hill, CA, and Paul E. & Cecilia Shampay, Nevada City, NV; daughter & son-in-law Cathy & Bill Moshos, Menifee, CA; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, Jan 22, 2005, at 11 a.m. at Christ The King Lutheran Church. Officiating will be Rev. Phil Tukua. Inurnment will be set at a later date in Minneapolis, MN, at the Lakewood Cemetery. The family suggests memorial donations to the Los Angeles Fireman’s Relief Assn., 2900 E. Temple St., Los Angeles, CA 90026. Berry-Bell & Hall Fallbrook Mortuary handled the arrangements.
