Nancy Carol Howard

Born on December 31, 1930 in El Centro, Calif. to Jesse Dixon and Theodore Thompson, Nancy Carol Howard lived in various cities in Southern California before she moved to Fallbrook in 1971. Fallbrook became her true home. For over 40 years, Nancy enjoyed being active in the community, running Mamas Mercantile Dress Shop with her good friend Christine Woodbury, being president, costume designer and actress for Fallbrook Players and volunteering at Angel Shop Thrift Store.

Nancy entered Fallbrook Skilled Nursing in November 2011 where she received excellent care from the staff and her doctors. She died on June 26, 2013 after a long illness. She was preceded in death by her oldest son, Michael Younker. She is survived by her loving family: sisters Wanda Motzkus and Dorothy Litrell; sons Mark Younker, Mitchell (Leah) Younker and James Howard (Robin Roth); grandchildren Dana Slaughter, Shana (Travis) Jackson and Max Younker; great-grandchildren Dylan and Mia Slaughter and Samantha Jackson; and numerous nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews.
