Noah B. Praytor Jr., 80

Noah B. Praytor Jr., 80, died Jan. 6, 2005, at the Naval Hospital, Camp Pendleton, CA.

Born July 1, 1924, in Waco, TX, Mr. Praytor lived in Fallbrook for 47 years. He retired from the US Marine Corps after serving as a Gunnery Sergeant for 26 years.

He served in WWII and Korea and was a member of The Chosin Few, VFW Post 1924, Fallbrook, American Legion Post 776, Fallbrook, and St. John’s Episcopal Church, Fallbrook. He was also a member of San Diego County Sheriff’s Senior Volunteer Patrol.

Mr. Praytor was preceded in death by his wife, Anna Praytor, in 1996.

He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law Robert & Nancy Praytor, Wildomar, CA; sister Iona Adamson, Bellingham, WA; and grandsons Noah Praytor, Murrieta, CA, and Nicholas Praytor, Fallbrook, CA.

A viewing will be held Tues., Jan. 18, 2005, from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. at Berry-Bell & Hall Mortuary, Fallbrook, CA.

Funeral will be held Tues., Jan 18, 2005, at 11:00 a.m. at Berry-Bell & Hall Mortuary. Burial with military honors will follow at 2:00 p.m. at Riverside National Cemetery, Riverside, CA.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the Navy/Marine Corps Relief Society, PO Box 555006, Camp Pendleton, CA 92055-5006 (e-mail [email protected]) or Injured Marine Semper Fi Fund, 825 College Blvd., Ste. 102 PMB 609, Oceanside CA 92057.
