James J. Notarian

James J. Notarian, a nine-year resident of Fallbrook, passed into God’s loving arms on August 22, 2007, at 80 years of age.

Loving husband, father, grandfather and brother, he is survived by Mary, his loving wife of 53 years; his son Mark; and his daughter Joanne.

Mr. Notarian’s writing for developers helped get the public interested in Irvine, Mission Viejo and Newport Beach when nothing but orange groves and tumbleweeds dotted the landscape. His notable work with Makita Power Tools, Sharp and many other familiar brand names brought him respect in the advertising industry.

Known for his integrity and wit, he could be depended upon to get the job done well and on time. In a time when “women had their place,” he treated his wife with the utmost respect and admiration.

Mr. Notarian encouraged everyone, choosing his words carefully. He had a way of making those around him feel valued. We were proud to be a part of his life, wisdom and humor. His gentle guidance and love will be missed.
