Rev. Howard L. Davis, 76

Rev. Howard L. Davis, 76, passed away on March 4, 2005. He was born on December 2, 1928, in Ojai, CA. He lived in Fallbrook, CA, for six and one-half years.

Rev. Davis retired after serving 45 years as pastor for Southern Baptist churches in the San Dimas, Garden Grove, Fountain Valley, Eagle Mountain, Pomona and Chino Hills areas. He was a US Merchant Marine following WWII and served in the US Air Force from 1948-1949.

Rev. Davis is survived by his wife of 51 years Bonnie Davis, Fallbrook, CA; son & daughter-in-law Randy & Kelley Davis, Kona, HI; daughters & sons-in-law Vickie & Thurlow Turner, Cave City, AR, Trudy & Stewart Biddle, Gig Harbor, WA, Carrie & Ron Montoya, Fallbrook, CA, and Denise Brackely, Wildomar, CA; brothers Rev. Thomas Edison Davis, Vancouver, WA, and Alverne Davis, Brigham City, UT; sister Lorene Hatcher, Ojai, CA; 14 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

A memorial service will be held on March 12, 2005, at 10:30 a.m. at Shoreline Baptist Church, 10350 Ellis Ave., Fountain Valley, CA. Officiating will be Rev. Thomas Edison Davis. Burial will be held on March 13, 2005, at 10 a.m. at the Riverside National Cemetery, Riverside, CA. The family suggests memorial donations to Murrieta Valley Church, 26868 Adams St., Murrieta, CA 92563. Berry-Bell & Hall Fallbrook Mortuary handled the arrangements.
