Ruth Adelheide Parenteau

Ruth Adelheide Parenteau was the loving wife of Armond Louis Parenteau for 61 years until he died in Feb. of 2000. Ruth followed Armond out to the west coast after their marriage in Crookston, MN. They were residents of Santa Monica for some 30 years before moving to Leisure World, Seal Beach, were Ruth gave her time to Redeemer Lutheran Church.

In Santa Monica, her tireless work earned her the top honor in the Parent Teacher’s Association. She was known for her kindness, gentleness and wry humor.

She was the loving mother of Janna Armbruster of Fallbrook, CA, and grandmother to Kerry Judge and Robert Armbruster Jr., Omaha, NB. She was also great-grandmother to Adam, Kyle and Gabriel. Ruth is also survived by one sister out of five, Dorothy Lynch, Seal Beach, CA, and one brother out of five, Anton Wold, Cass Lake, MN. A memorial service will be held on February 19 at 10 a.m. at the Fallbrook Redeemer Lutheran Church.
