William E. Wilson Jr.

William E. Wilson Jr., born June 17, 1927, died Sept. 14, 2012.

A long-time San Diego County Sheriff’s reservist, Bill Wilson at times worked out of the Sheriff’s Fallbrook substation.

Bill was a Fallbrook resident when he retired from the U.S. Marine Corps in 1972. He later lived in Vista for many years while working as an investigator for the state Alcoholic Beverage Control and with the sheriff’s department.

He is survived by his wife Pat Wilson of Vista plus sons Bill Wilson of Ocean Beach and Tom Wilson of Fallbrook.

Memorial services are at 1 p.m., Oct. 20 at the Veteran’s Memorial & Museum in San Diego.

    Bill was a fantastic man. He was always fond of the Fallbrook area and the people. I worked with Bill prior to my retirement from the Sheriff’s Office and he was the officer that swore me into the Corps. The people of Fallbrook were blessed to be served by Bill and those like him…
