Big Oak Ranch Rd. intersection needs help

I have written to Darrell Issa again to protest about the heavy traffic on South Mission Road (increase in population) – and the narrow entry at the intersection of Big Oak Ranch Rd. and the obstacle of a hill on the south, making it a hazard to turn out and southbound towards Bonsall. It is also risky to turn right (northbound) on Mission since we cannot see the fast-moving cars (due to hill) to make safe entry into the roadway.

We have now had 19 accidents at that spot.

I will be 90 years old on May 12 and I may not live to see this problem solved. I have sent signed petitions by our neighbors to many offices. The excuse from Caltrans is “no money.” Where do our tax dollars go?

Whenever a house goes up for sale, our local Realtors say they hesitate to show it as they don’t want a client to face this traffic problem, therefore our real estate value is being hurt.

Thank you to others who can help support getting a solution to this problem.

    Wrong person…..

Blow your own Horn covers county roads.

Don`t blame Issa, he has bigger crooks to catch….

Thank you for your op-ed, Ms. Tipton, and happy birthday, birthday girl!

Needless to say, I agree with you, and am sorry that our politicians have failed you and all of us. What a sad state of affairs our government and politicians have become! One would think that after so many accidents, they would listen, spring into action and help us, folks.

    Nope.

Instead, we continue to die on Fallbrook’s unsafe roads. Sad indeed. I have proposed to make the speed limit of ALL Fallbrook roads — every single one — to be 25MPH. (Please read my comments #7 & 46 to the following article, http://www.thevillagenews.com/story/77616/) I believe this would greatly help reduce the amounts of accidents and make Fallbrook’s roads safer in general.

Ms. Tipton, hang in there, please. Folks ARE reading your op-ed and are aware of this situation. If we keep on complaining, change WILL come. Again, thank you for your op-ed.
