Glick's Rainbow supporters just don't get it

Sycamore scaremongers are at it again:

When you don’t have an issue, what do you do? You invent one, blame the other side, and then threaten the Rainbow voters with it! This is exactly what the few supporters of Bob Glick (who is being recalled) have done.

Remember, Glick was “appointed” (not elected) by the old board to fill a vacancy last August over the desires of 425 ratepayers who signed a petition requesting another resident represent them. Only one ratepayer supported Glick.

Why did they do this? Because the old board could count on Glick to rubber stamp their agenda (and he has), and they have the nerve to claim that he is an “independent” thinker! These Sycamore parrots (who don’t even live in Division 5) don’t understand our constitutional right of recall. The voters have the right to recall their representatives when they fail to perform on the job to the benefit of their constituents, and there is ample failure here. That’s why Glick is being recalled.

Now they say money is being wasted on special elections. Remember, the March election was manipulated by the old board so that voters could not elect their representative last November. The special election was their doing and they blame other. They claim Glick’s recall election will cost Rainbow $40,000. Again, they don’t know what they are talking about. Our governor is calling for a special election this November, so Rainbow’s costs will be around $800 (NCT — March 30), not $40,000! Ironically, this few supporters now profess budget tightening when they ignored fiscal responsibility for years.

Additionally, they claim there are plans to fire the general manager, but, as everyone knows, the GM’s employment is based on job performance — not private agendas.
