I love Fallbrook and the Firehouse Broiler

As an annual visitor to this area from the United Kingdom, I would like to let you know how much I love Fallbrook, the beautiful scenery, and the fantastic views.

The icing on the cake for me has to be the Firehouse Broiler on S. Main Ave. The lovely, friendly owner makes every customer feel welcome with his chat and banter.

The small but varied menu, along with the specials board, means that everyone’s culinary taste is catered to. The food is perfectly cooked each and every time. All hail to the excellent chef.

The greatest asset to the diner has to be the wonderful waitress, Sue. The obvious fact that she loves her job positively shines through as she whizzes around the diner – welcoming customers, giving out menus, and taking food and drink orders. She epitomizes the meaning of the words “fast service with a smile.”

As an English person, I am overwhelmed by the American super-size portions of food, but thanks to the doggy bags, I have a delicious lunch for the following day – or two!

To anyone who has not visited the diner, I would urge them to rectify this omission post haste.

I love my vacation here in Fallbrook for the beautiful surroundings, warm sun (the latter always being in extremely short supply in England, whatever the time of year) and the Firehouse Broiler.
