Mink shouldn't be raffled

I was greatly saddened to learn that St. Peter’s Catholic School is having a fundraiser, “The Main Event” on Sat., Jan. 29, at 6 p.m., at which a real mink fur coat will be raffled off. So much has been made public about how much the mink suffer and the inhumane deaths these animals endure, all in the name of fashion! I would hardly think anyone in California would need a fur coat. I hope the school will see fit to ban this raffle. I was told God put the animals on earth for man’s use. Yes, but I don’t believe to have them suffer in the name of fashion!
