Rainbow ratepayers for Russ

I have attended Rainbow Municipal Water District board meetings for about four years now, along with other ratepayers. It takes several hours preparation to go over the details in the thick monthly board packages.

At division 4 candidate Cari Dale’s first Rainbow (12/05) board meeting she sat next to Tom Weise (supporter of recalled director Tom Cole) with a “gratis?” notebook bound board agenda pack — who “tutored” her through.

For money equaling half a hamburger a month each, Weiss, Voigt and their Division 3 Director Bopf have proven that they would happily turn Fallbrook into LA — by dumping on agriculture.

At the 1/05 meeting Dale did not have/use a full agenda package and she was a “no-show” for the 2/05 meeting!

Rainbow Ratepayers already voted last spring to pay-as-we go for the existing proactive pipe replacement program. We don’t appreciate Dale’s threat “can cost [you] five times as much,” on top of the 72 percent defeated Proposition “oh”-no threats the general manager published during that $250K campaign on ratepayer dollars.

Ratepayers have voted over 70 percent for Directors Sundram (insurance & finance) and Griffiths (engineering). What we don’t need is an Ontario wastewater woman to “analyze” us into allowing developer Pardee to dump sewage treated on district property into our San Luis Rey River aquifer and looking like (ug!) Ontario.

Vote for Russ Hatfield for director for Division 4. He does his homework, attends meetings, and is opposed to Prop. O-type borrowing, annexing high-density developments into our scarce water resources, and a sewage plant on our San Luis Rey River.
