Relay for Life thank you

We would like to thank those who supported the Relay for Life in Fallbrook Sept. 25-26. We have just been informed by the American Cancer Society of San Diego that, based on the funds its members raised, Team: Red, White and Blue is the 19th in the nation during the new fiscal year, which started Sept. 1, 2004. Also, Polly Bowers is number two in the nation as an individual fund raiser. We could not have done it without the support of family and friends here in Fallbrook and around the world.

Our team members who participated in the relay included: Jack Parkinson; Lee & Rene Watson; Stan & Joan Rauh; Stan Rauh II; Susie Switzer; Wes Switzer; Walt & Stacey Jo Diekman; Ron & Patrice Pifer; Dave Marvin; Bob & Kathy Leonard; Scott, Sam & Gray Bowers; Linda Biggam; Dick & Violet Hulit; Bob & Bobbi Arboneaux; Vicki Newcomer; Robert Book; Judy Ambrose; Joyce Wood; Jerry Diffee; Jean & Steve Smith; Connie Scott; Rob Arboneaux; Deana Lahnes, and more. Over 120 others from as far away as Switzerland helped financially.

We also owe thanks to many individuals and businesses without whose help the relay could not have succeeded: Ace Mobil Music; Albertson’s; Berry-Bell & Hall Fallbrook Mortuary, Inc.; Boys & Girls Clubs of North County; Dancin’ 3D; El Toro Market; Electra Bicycle Company; Executive Landscape, Inc.; Fallbrook Chamber of Commerce; Fallbrook Equipment Rental; Fallbrook Financial; Fallbrook Fire Dept.; Fallbrook Presbyterian Church; Fallbrook Sheriff’s Substation; Fallbrook United Methodist Church; Fallbrook Vintage Car Club; Jasper; John Keys, bagpiper; Kiwanis; Major Market; McDonald’s of Fallbrook; Mellano & Co.; North County Times; Old Grove Co.; Pacific Animal Productions; Rotary Club of Bonsall; Shocks of Mighty; Sigma Alpha Epsilon; Sourdough Pizza and Italian Restaurant; Time Warner Cable; US Marine Corps Support Battalion; Camp Pendleton; VFW Post 1924 and Ladies Auxiliary; the Village News; Wells Fargo Bank, and more.

When this relay comes in 2005, let us everyone support it in one way or the other. Again, thank you. Fallbrook is the best.
