Roadside memorial is a reminder

A roadside memorial is not only a memory, but a reminder of how short and precious life can be. It also reminds people to drive safe, because there is a chance a driver and/or their passengers won’t make it to their destination. It is also a reminder that the road itself may be dangerous.

People have been placing memorials where a loved one had spent their final moments here on earth for centuries. The memorials put family members and friends at ease, giving them a sense of peace and closure. For some of those who passed on and do not have an exact final resting place, it is like a cemetery spot that can be visited.

This is in loving memory of Kelley Anne Fritz, May 4, 1998 to Sept. 25, 2010.
