Kim Carlson helps clients to 'feel at home'

Kim Carlson makes you ‘feel at home’ the minute you sit down in her office. For a realtor, this is an invaluable trait. Kim exudes a friendly and ‘full of life’ attitude that draws her clients in during the first few minutes. She also works hard to find that perfect property where her clients can ‘feel at home.’

Formerly with Century 21 Award, she is now working under Prudential California Realty in Bonsall’s River Village. Kim has been in real estate since 1987 and has lived in the Fallbrook area since 1988. “Living and working in the Fallbrook and Bonsall area is just a joy and a pleasure,” said Kim.

As both a buyer’s and a seller’s agent, she lists and sells houses and property in all price ranges. The majority of her business is generated from past clients and referrals.

Kim is serious about her job and spends a lot of time finding that perfect property for her clients. “It is something that I enjoy a lot — I can put in the hours that I need to be successful because I really enjoy doing it,” she explained. “It is a thrill for me when I find the perfect house for a buyer. It is also very fulfilling,” she said.

In 2003, when Kim was working for Century 21 Award, she was the number one agent, not just at Century 21 Award but also for Inland and North County San Diego. “I have been extremely blessed by God,” she said.

Kim has been a ‘SoCal Girl’ from the very beginning. Born in Long Beach, she grew up in Buena Park and even worked for a while at Knott’s Berry Farm. Kim met her husband Randy while they were both students at the University of California, Irvine, where Kim earned a bachelor of science degree in social science/psychology.

Randy is a dentist in the Bonsall area and is also one of the charter members of Bonsall Rotary. Kim enjoys attending Rotary functions with Randy. She is also active at Riverview Evangelical Free Church in Bonsall, where she serves as a deaconess. Kim is an ‘animal person’ and loves her two Great Danes as well as her thoroughbred horse, ‘Havakatz.’ Kim unwinds after a full day by riding Havakatz through the oak-studded hills of Bonsall.

Kim and Randy have three children — a 19-year-old son who lives in Fallbrook and is a college student, a daughter who is 22 and is attending a school for missions in Hawaii and a 26-year-old married son who lives in Orange County. Her son in Orange County is a lender and “does a lot of loans for my buyers,” said Kim. “It’s nice to have family in the business too,” she beamed.
