Prudential California Realty donates $60k to Disaster Relief Fund

The Prudential Foundation, the charitable foundation of Prudential Financial, Inc. and Prudential Real Estate Affiliates, is supporting tsunami disaster relief by matching all individual contributions dollar-for-dollar from Prudential agents and employees. Prudential California Realty is pleased to announce that with the help of the Prudential Foundation, its agents and employees have donated almost $60,000 to help the victims of the recent tsunami. 100% of all contributions, along with the matching gifts, will be sent to the appropriate agencies working with disaster relief, including Oxfam International and Save the Children.

“In the face of this devastating tragedy, countless members of our company have poured out their support through monetary donations and volunteer efforts,” states Steve Rodgers, president of Orange County/vice president of San Diego County for Prudential California Realty. “We are very pleased that The Prudential Foundation is stepping up to the plate to help bring aid to so many families in Southeast Asia. It is times like this when I really appreciate the sense of community that exists at Prudential.”

Founded in 1977, The Prudential Foundation is the non-profit grant-making organization of Prudential Financial, Inc. It is part of Prudential’s Community Resources Department, a strategic combination of three units: the Foundation, which strives to build children and families’ self sufficiency; the Social Investment Program, which originates and manages socially beneficial investments; and Local Initiatives, which coordinates employee volunteerism and fosters community outreach.
