3.0 magnitude quake recorded in Idyllwild

IDYLLWILD - A magnitude-3.0 earthquake was recorded today in the San Jacinto Mountains area, about eight miles from Idyllwild.

The epicenter of the 12:55 p.m. temblor was eight miles southwest of Idyllwild and eight miles northwest of Anza, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

There were no reports of damages or injuries as a result of the quake, which occurred along the San Jacinto Fault Zone.
