A masked bandit held up a Citibank branch in Encinitas today, sheriff’s officials said.

The suspect pointed some type of object at the teller at around 11:40 a.m. at the bank at 113 N. El Camino Real, but it was unclear if it was a weapon, according to sheriff’s Lt. Dave Schaller.

The robber ran off with an undisclosed amount, Schaller said.

Sheriff’s officials said the suspect was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, a black cap with a white bill, sunglasses and a mask.
