Police remain vigilant in search for robber who held San Diego County cell phone store at gunpoint

Police were on the lookout today for the man who robbed an El Cerrito cell phone store at gunpoint.

Shortly after 8 p.m. Saturday, the robber walked into the Boost Mobile at 5410 El Cajon Blvd., pointed a handgun at the employees and demanded money, San Diego police Officer Frank Cali said.

An employee handed over a plastic bag containing an undisclosed amount and the suspect took some phones before running out, according to Cali.

Police described the suspect as Hispanic, 23-24 years old, about 5 feet 9 and 150 pounds. He was wearing a black baseball cap, a dark gray hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans.

And the reason why the robber could do this is because of the Second Amendment.

    Thank you indeed, founding fathers.

And the reason the robber did this is he knew or figured that the owner did not have a gun. LEE WHEN WILL YOU UNDERSTAND THAT THE 2ND AMENDMENT GIVES YOU THE RIGHT to protect yourself from those that DO NOT ABIDE by any law????

A cell phone store with cash-what a dumb store to rob, it would have a tiny bit, but a few cell phones or equipment would be more profitable for resale, sounds fishy!! But then again, criminals aren’t very bright.

    @ #2 Grunt

And when will you understand that the Second Amendment allows for the existence of a "bad guy" with a gun? Never.

Just when you think you have heard it all….WHAT Lee?

Oh, I know…….if only we could go back to the days when there were no bad guys……then guns came along, and with it, bad people…..****siiiiigh****

Stay in the shallow end. The world does not exist to constantly reassure you.

Bad people came before any weapons.

If you read about 7,000 years ago, God killed bad people in many ways – sword, disease, droughts… He also gave us all HUMAN natures-we choose to be good with His help, and bad with NO help.

Second Amendment or not – you will still have guns, good, bad… that is what we call, life.

You and your Yosemite Sam compadres can fool some of the people some of the time, but you cannot fool ALL THE PEOPLE all the time.

@Grunt and Ryan: It is impossible to argue with someone who has little or no common sense. They will never get it because their brains do not have an "on" switch.

  9. DR DR   March 25, 2014 at 9:07 am

Grunt, Pink, Ryan – you can not argue or explain to someone that believes they are the only one right. Once a thought is conceived in the brain, it will not be changed by anyone. The same thoughts resurface over and over and over….

Psychiatrists and Psychologists call this NPD: Narcissism Personality Disorder.

I find the blogs on VN are still educational, good debates, and some…entertaining.

So, the folks you are REALLY talking about is yourself, Pink, Grunt, . . .

    Got it, believe-you-me.

  11. Pink   March 25, 2014 at 3:33 pm

Let me see Lee…. ideas that resurface over and over …. like maybe "we, the people", "you can fool some of the people some of the time", "military industrial complex" …. just to name a few of the phrases that you parrot continually. The fact that you never, ever, are able to accept any opinions other than your own, but instead ignore people who prove over and over that you are wrong (once a thought is conceived in the brain it will not be changed by anyone) NPD? Yes, I would say DR DR was most likely referring to you….. fits you like a glove.

You and your friends have NOT proven that I am wrong on any subject. The only thing you have proven is that you are a legend in your own mind.

  13. Really?   March 25, 2014 at 7:38 pm

Never Mind Pink. Reality and public embarrassment doesn’t faze ’em. These delusional hippie acolytes pray at the alter of socialism; they have lived naively for so long on a steady diet of demagoguery, innuendo and propaganda that your request for them to actuall consider facts, or better yet maybe stay on topic, would devastate their "I’d like to buy the world a Coke" utopian dreams.

Our only hope is that someone hurries up and finishes his hot chocolate, changes out of his snuggie and gets back to posting on HuffPo or Mother Jones Magazine.

@Comment #12: Thank you for proving my point Lee.

In a blog not too long ago, when you were trying (in vain) to prove that we need to get rid of ALL money, you stated that Native Americans did not barter goods with each other until Europeans landed on our shores. Of course anyone who has ever opened a history book knows that that is baloney. You were "proven wrong". That is only one of MANY instances where the silly stuff you say has come back to kick you in the…. fanny. The fact that you never admit that you are wrong doesn’t mean that you are right…. get it? No, of course you don’t. (see comment#10 as to why).

Now you are blaming our Constitutional Second Amendment for gun related deaths. Question: Did Germany have a constitution? did they have a second amendment? If not, pray tell, how did Hitler invade Poland? With sticks and stones? Guns have always been used to kill people, because some people are just plain evil, or sick, or stupid. Taking away guns from law abiding citizens will do nothing more then to put more illegal weapons on the street in the hands of criminals. We have gun laws on the books already. Let’s enforce them.

As usual, Lee has no response. The silence is deafening.

By the way Lee, who of course will have no response to this either, what do you think of California State Senator Leland Yee?

    @Ryan: Love it!!

  17. Lee   March 27, 2014 at 7:08 pm

    @ #16 Pink

How on earth do you call yourself a Christian?

  18. Pink   March 27, 2014 at 8:34 pm

Nice try Lee, but it didn’t work. I am a Christian, but that doesn’t mean that I can’t call them as I see them. Leland Yee is not only a hypocrite, he is a criminal!! He voted to take away the rights of American citizens with one hand while conspiring to smuggle illegal weapons into the United States in order to arm gangs with the other!! I understand that you apparently have no sense of reason, but are you also without a moral code? Smoke and mirrors won’t work Lee. We see through you and your obvious lack of credibility.

  19. grunt   March 28, 2014 at 6:54 am

@LEE #17 – come on – that the best you got for Pink? Make up facts, lose the debate, so of COURSE – go for the false personnel attack. What/how would YOU describe a Christian, Lee, and where has Pink ever said anything that might even HINT that she is not? Not that I expect an intelligent reply that will be anywhere on topic.

  20. DR DR   March 28, 2014 at 10:14 am

@#19 grunt – you are so correct in your analogies personally and politically pertaining to Lee AND Pink. Thank you!

  21. Paul   March 28, 2014 at 11:07 am

….and still Lee refuses to answer. Probably because he can’t come up with anything. He has a very limited thought process. Oh well Lee, no guts, no glory…..
