Valley Center man stung to death by bees

The San Diego Sheriff's Dept. has reported that a Valley Center man was stung to death by bees today (March 6).

According to authorities, around 1:50 p.m. deputies from the Valley Center Sheriff's substation responded to a call in the 12500 block of Montanya Drive to assist Valley Center/Cal Fire medics. Emergency personnel at the scene were trying to assist a 67-year-old man who had been working on the grounds of his property when he sustained numerous bee stings and went into medical distress.

Although life-saving measures were attempted, the man succumbed to his condition.

The San Diego County Medical Examiner's Office will be conducting an investigation into the incident.
